This year Ziggo will deploy IPv6 to the edge of the network, towards business and consumer customers. The article explains a little about IPv6 and states at the bottom the roll-out in 2012. Described are the scenarios of dual stack and native IPv6 setup. Existing customers will get dual stack, where new customers will get native IPv6 (with NAT64/DNS64 or 6RD).
What I wonder is if and how Ziggo will protect their customers. Do they have to configure the necessary security measures themselves or will Ziggo just block all incoming traffic? Probably something in between, but do we know already what?
